A young woman awakens alone in her new (and as-yet-unfurnished) home on New Years's Day, having skipped festivities the night before. But in an offhand attempt to make a worthwhile New Year’s resolution, she inadvertently invokes an… unconventional advisor.
For the 20th anniversary of our participation in the 48 Hour Film Project, Tohubohu Productions entered the Washington, DC, 48 Hour Film Holiday Project with 2024’s “Unresolved.” Returning screenwriter Anna Coughlan (“Devil in the Details,” “The Golden Cage of Television”) crafted a lighthearted tale about the personal and societal expectations around New Year’s resolutions. Produced by Lee Perna and directed by William R. Coughlan — and shot by returning cinematographer Dan Foster (“Bombshell,” “Devil in the Details”) — the film was created entirely over the weekend of November 1st through November 3rd, 2024, and premiered at the AFI Silver Theater on Thursday, November 14th.
