Rick and Lucy, two creative office workers, find themselves — and the rest of their office mates — behaving in increasingly outlandish ways, all while a mysterious laughter punctuates their actions. As they try to get to the bottom of the situation, they slowly realize there may be no escape from their predicament.
The Tohubohu team entered the 48 Hour Film Project once again with “The Golden Cage of Television,” a slapstick comedy produced for the Washington, DC, competition. Scripted by “Winston” and “The Rest of Your Life” writer Anna Coughlan and produced by “Bombshell” producer Lee Perna, the film was created entirely over the weekend of May 17th through the 19th, 2019, and premiered at the AFI Silver Theatre on Saturday, June 1st.
