After learning of an unusual local legend at a neighborhood pub — a tale derided by her local coworkers — a young woman finds the benefits of an unconventional "credit" deal almost too good to be true. But when an unexpected life change casts doubt on her ability to fulfill her side of the bargain, she must beg for the terms of her agreement to be amended.
Tohubohu Productions entered the Washington, DC, 48 Hour Film Science Fiction Horror Project once again with 2023’s “Devil in the Details.” Returning writer Anna Coughlan (“The Golden Cage of Television,” “The Rest of Your Life”) wrote a psychological horror tale inspired by local legends and the pop-up bar nature of our primary filming location. Produced by Meredith Sims and directed by William R. Coughlan — and lensed by returning cinematographer Dan Foster (“Bombshell”) — the film was created entirely over the weekend of October 13th through October 15th, 2023, and premiered at the AFI Silver Theater on Sunday, October 29th (under its original working title, “The Penalty”).
